I'll second that. When I first got my SV I got amazing pain in my wrists, and began to think I'd made a bigmistake with the bike. However once I realised I was holding on to the handle bars like a white knuckle rise I amaged to force myself to relax and the problem went immediately. Also made the bike easier to ride.

I use my stomach muscles I think to support myself. I don't put all my weight on the pegs with my feet or tank with my knees - so it must be that. Good way to help get fit whilt riding as well I do 90 miles a day like this without feeling tired or pain.

i had it when i first got my gear bike a mito 125 after time it went then i went back to scooters then got the SV did it agin not so bad now only on long trips with no ccorners or a passanger on the back cos u dont move as much

I had exactly the same problems - first the strap ect.

I'm 6ft tall and I realised that I was having to strain my wrists back to use the levers, moved the brake and clutch round the bars by about 5mm from the punch mark, that cured most of the rest of my problems and I cured the rest by working on relaxing my hands/arms whist riding.

Go see your doctor. sounds to me like your suffering form carpel tunnle syndrome. easily fixed and once sorted you'll never suffer the tingling finders again

Moving the controls is a good tip. you want to have your wrists as straight as possible when using the controls.
