I have found them to be the crappest things ever. I have a bunch of them, ( tesco reduced them from £5 to 50p ) and they all lie, most of all on the van, where they report the 60psi in the rear as only 40psi.
I bought a PCL calibarted and a 'professional' draper gauge, both of those read within a psi of each other.

I use a foot pump and digital tyre pressure gauge. Tyres are supposed to be checked when cold you know.

Check mine once a week, and more when the weather changes dramatically. As per this week for example.

Me thinks I'll invest in one of those chappies!

I got the idea from the posts but it's much better to see a piccy.

I check the tyres before every ride whilst they are cold. Might INVEST in a posh calibrated guage at some point too, just for peace of mind.

Cheers,
Garry

i have a posh calibrated guage, but its only purpose is to test it against my digital every couple of months,

my digital has been fine,

you might as well take your digital down to a tire shop and ask em to check its accuracy - save yourself some pennies,

oh and i got a plug in air compressor at home, only cost a tenner and does the job well.
