The only prob with the skidmarx is how close it is to the front tyre. I might need a new one as mine has a nice hole in the side where it rubbed through when it slid down the road (it saved the engine though). Might do a small repair on it though untill i have a bit more funds.

If it was painted in yellow it would look the biz. But black is good as it never realy looks dirty.

Hi guys, thanks for all the responses

Jase22 - did you need to hack up the original undertray to fit the powerbronze one, or was it a direct replacement??? I don’t fancy the cutting idea as I might want to revert back at some point …

Stormspiel - I do like the powerbronze one, I like the way the exhaust comes out the bottom … I am sure a correctly drilled hole will sort out the front flooding problems Personally I feel the ‘ugly’ on the SV resides mostly where you can see the oil filter and starter etc, this pan seems to cover the ugly, but isn’t too ‘in your face’, which is why I took to it initially (and that it was one of the cheapest!! ).

Cloggsy - lets face it the ‘pointy’ bikes look better fullstop!! But I didn’t have the cash for a pointy!!! On my initial search, I came across many pointy pics, both with bellypans and with full lowers, the full lowers that are made for the pointy’s look brill and really make the bike look sporty. However I feel the ‘curvy’ ones with full lowers, well, to me just don’t seem to look quite right (in my opinion/eyes only obviously ).

TSM - Thanks for the Skidmarx pics, although I like the way the bellypan goes right back, I too have to agree, the nose bit does seem to stick out a bit far perhaps??

Thanks for all the input guys

Yeah unfortunately you need to do some chopping to get the Powerbronze undertray to fit, I think it's the same with all of them except the TCP Holland one, which is a direct replacement.

This is the Pyramid Plastics one... Not the best photo. Personalyl I think it's the only one that really suits the curvy- teh Skidarz one just seems really busy and overcomplicated to me, and doesn't have the same lines as the fairings. It's solid as a rock as well.

Ok fellas I am prepared to be derided here but can anyone explain to me please, the point and purpose of a belly pan? I have never owned a bike that had one and must admit they do not do much for me. I am though prepared to be educated on this subject.

1. on road bikes== makes the bike look Mean & cool fashion thing

2. the purpose is really mainly for racing bikes, those that don't have a fairing have to have a belly pan to catch any fluids that my be leaking for your bike.

keeps the crap of the engine, plus with the skidmarx bellypan it saves the gen & clutch covers if your bike takes a slide (well on mine it did).

SVs look like a bit's dropped off the bottom without one They do work wonders for keeping your engine cases, starter etc in better nick too- well, depends on the pan I suppose.

Plus, if they don't have enough holes in the bottom and you have an oil leak, they can cuningly store the poil until you crack open the throttle then drop it all on the road immediately in front of your back tyre.
