Oh aye, meant to say, I've fitted iridium sparkplugs, and they do seem to make it much more eager to start than standard- plus they seem very resistant to fouling (I managed to spend ages trying to get the bike to run after knocking a connector off the rear coil... Lots of unburnt fuel cycling through, but it fired first time once I reconnected it.)
