My girlfriends dad is a mechanic and obtained one of these bikes (a BTS 125 version) for a friends son. The kid used it for 7000 miles and not once checked the oil or oiled the chain - in fact the only time it got a service is when the chain came off (at 7000 miles) because it was so rusty and slack and he had to get it recovered as he had no idea how to put it back on..!

I would say thats about as much abuse as any bike would take!

My belief is a copy of the honda xt 200 engine.

my brother has ran a hongdou cg125 copy for 2 years now everyday for work and general running around the town. he has had no problems except rusting rims (he never cleans his bike neither).

That's a really practical bike at a great price! Looks liek it could be some fun too!

I've already had to decant a bike to my parents garage to make room in mine so doubt I could justify another one.

honda 200cc four stroke single
hongdou make engines from honda's drawings under licence seemingly. however their c90 copy has a four speed manual box as opposed to the 3 speed semi auto .

this one has 5 gears but you get through them pretty rapid very very low geared im not blowing the engine up just yet but 45 or 50 sounds like your thrashing it in top

as already stated expect what you are paying for cheap paint cheap metal rough and ready . in no way can you compare these to yams or hondas no refinment at all

and be warned you NEED LONG LEGS 960 mm seat height makes for a very tall bike

i am 6 foot 1 and cannot get both feet flat on floor i can get both balls of me feet down but not flat.

given time i reckon the rear suspension will drop a bit (no adjustment on any suspension by the way )

brakes are not mind blowing neither but then again i have only 80 mile on it so nowts bedded in yet.
