Thanks seen lots of these for around the £99 price. It’s for my digital camera not a video camera.
I was talking to Tracy at last years SV meet about making something, as there were lots of photo opportunities that I missed while riding the bike.

surely it would work for a camcorder and a digi cam would it not?

Well there already seem to be a market chewy

you know as well as i do that they will NOT cost 99 quid or anywhere near it (if made in quantity)

yeah the initial one will cost a few bob to engineer but christ a laser cutter cutting the pieces out and a modicome of machining bobs your uncle and fannys your aunt. more pennies for chewy (might have to change design a tad in case of patent )

Why place a video camera where:

1) It shows the speedo

2) It is in danger of getting damaged

Get a remote "bullet cam", stick the camera under the rear seat or in a tank bag. The bullet cam can be put in a number of positions (low at the front, facing rider, facing backwards etc). It's much more versatile (I've even used it on a push bike, and in the car!)

i had a similar thought saw a bloke at box hill who had made a mount which was attached to the front edge of the fairing for a remote camera with the recorder in a tail pack.

I agree more versatile IF your video camera supports the input required.

BTW the one mounted on the tank does not need to show the speedo (zoom) and even if you want wide angle a bit of gaffa tape will sort it

I like your vids with the bullet cam but its another 88 to 150 quid outlay

I have one of those. Cost abotu £34 from the states. Its stable as anything and well worth money. As for showing the speedo, thats what you have zoom for isnt it?

The only downside is that you have to have a clear screen. Otehr than that, its fantastic and does the job.

What the boy jelster recomends is a great alternitive but there are only a few camcorders that have the inputs needed.

My Panasonic NV-15 does the job as it is.

Got one of these today http://www.jessops.com/ for my digital camera . Cost me a whopping £6.49 I was thinking of taking it to bits and getting an adapter plate made to fit to the forward three fixing points on the fuel tank cap holder. All I need do is fashion some kind of adaptor between the two and I can then take pictures on the move

Try the same thing from BOOTS for about £4.99 on the high st or even better £2.49 from www.7dayshop.com along with many other savings!

Cheers,

Garry
