Agreed, but the new one has horses and horses of power. (May be even too much!)

Have you tried an Aprilia Falco? A fantastic bike if you can avoid the usual italian gremlins.

I relented and let a mate ride my bike. (in return for services rendered as a favour)

He returned 10 minutes later and said "....f**k....that is the best bike I have ever, ever ridden..." (and he has owned and ridden lot of bikes)

To me it sounds like your pal has had his ZX9 for some time and really enjoyed it's ownership, however this does not justify some of the very odd comments he has made as highlighted by Jelster.

It would appear that ok for him he has passed on from wanting a sports rep now as he accepts that they are ever more closer to the real track bikes these days.

Reading between the lines I dont really see why either fairing or shaft drive would have any major appeal?

Personally I think if he is to ignore things like.

TDM
Fazer
Falco

Then one of the BMW's is the nearest thing to his wish list.

However as I think it is very hard to find a really bad motor these days,(Harleys excluded)

I personally would take a long hard look at the Ducati like Shooters,(his looks absolutely stunning!)

Or maybe a Cagiva Raptor.

I would not at all totally ignore the latest Moto Guzzi either. But in reality he is going to probably opt for an IL4 thou. And if so...That Eddie Lawson look alike Kawasaki is rather schweet!

Thoe "only" IL4 he should try, if he wants to maintain some attachment to a sports bike is a 954 'Blade. Sports bike riders reckont they're a tourer, tourer riders think they're sports bikes, 954 owners just think

The Kawasaki Z750S has just received rave reports following a test review by Solo Moto magazine here in Spain.
