Hi Stretchie and welcome, I don't expect to out this weekend as the wevver is a bit cr*p. I've been on to Dr Rich about organising a ride out in the 'middle ground' between S Wales and Sufampton/Portsmuf as it would be good to all be able to meet up. I'd do it but don't know the roads in that area. How's about it Rich? about April time lots of sun shine and dry roads

Look out for the Poole Quay posts from about April time - it's a bike meet every Tues through the summer and there's usually a couple of us down there. Can get a bit busy on the warm summers evenings with 3- 4000 bikes.

I don't know the roads around there at all. Fizz and e.d are probably the ones for that one. Sherborne, Weymouth may I suppose. When we went down to Bridport in the summer (me, Fizz, Haxsaw and maybe Term ?) it didnt take anytime at all to get down there, I do know that much.

Been wet here overnight. If it did brighten up this weekend it may have washed the salt away

I'm quite happy to plan someting in my neck of the woods

We can either, repeat the route that Dr Rich, myself, Haxsaw and term did in the summer or, we can do an alternative one

Theres some lovely twisty roads out from Sherborne to Sturminster Newton, that we can then drop back up to Sailsbury on, and then maybe take in Cranborne, and come down the Zig Zag back into Shaftesbury then back towards Yeovil ish.. I do that sometimes couple of hours normally nice roads, I wouldnt wanna do the Zig Zag at the moment though, its covered in leaves and mud in the winter

Stretchie...If no riding on the cards it will at least allow you more time to settle in to your new surroundings. You can acclimatise to the the local accent, gain a taste for cider and work on your unhealthy new found attraction to animals wearing woolly coats!

It might not be a nice day, but the weather conditions are correct for a SWS rideout to wales

Well in Amesbury they are its p*ssing with rain, think I might stop for an ice cream on the way back to Yeovil just for that authentic feel

Bright sunshine in Aberystwyth. Quite a few bikers have already made the trip to the seafront.
