Yes i engine brake have lil choice with the SV

Mean's there's a leak somewhere in the system. It's not backfiring, it's cold air being drawn in and expanding rapidly or something similar iirc. Nothing to worry about, it all sounds cool, but it's not strictly backfiring.

Have you got the injection model, if so try disconnecting the pipework from the pair system control solenoid & plugging the end, this stops the air from the air box being allowed to go to the exhaust outlet in the cylinder head & cures the backfiring.

Oh i like that sound. I think the snips will be out shortly. Need a new filter first. Does anyone know much about the Piper Cross filters? Also a cheap place to Dyno in the Thames Valley area?

as far as i know a k&n is not worth getting unless u get the bike setup correctly

via yoshibox/powercommander/ or dyno thingy for the carbed models
