The RR will truly cripple you (the SV is almost sit up and beg by comparison). Which is one of the reasons the F is by far the better all round machine, even if it doesn't have the stunning looks of the RR.

There's a man who knows what he's talking about (makes a change )

Look at the road tests, the F is a far better road bike, it's quicker and easier to use in the wet, far more comfortable and will give a much better tank range.

The RR is great as a "sprint" machine, looks wonderful, and is a great posing tool (that's why scoobs has one ).

I was wondering that actually, does anyone else find the sv seat really uncomfortable? I did 350 miles in two days and it hurt really quite a lot by the end of it.

The seat on the K3 onwards is really hard and uncomfortable, whereas the curvey's seat is reasonably soft and generally a much better seat. The new Suzuki gel seat is however an excellent replacement and might well be worth considering.

My folks are on the france/spain border, and the roads there mean that the SV1000 is a must have.
It has the low down grunt from the twin that everyone likes, and it is comfy and perfectly adaptable for the beach/mountain roads.
Would recommend the SV.

A B&B near Perpignan IIRC - fantastic weather, and awesome roads upto Andorra - have done it several times in the cage but would love to do it on the bike.

My in-laws have a place near Bordeaux which would make a good half way stop on the way down/back.

Just need to get rid of the kids for a couple of weeks and it could be a go-er

It's not so bad. When I've done serious milage, especialy over a few days my ahem, posterior seems to get used to it fairly well. I found the hardest thing was having my legs being fixed in one position for hours on end, unable to stretch them (well, appart from when I had my feet pointing forwards resting on the crash bungs, but that was just silly ).

Agreed.

1000 V-twin vs 600 IL4...hmmmmmm

I dunno, I've got both, and as this question has come up on several occasions before, I've considered which I'd keep if I could only have one. However, despite the fact that they have similar on paper performance - 100ish BHP - they are so different in use that I honestly couldn't choose.

Sseto, when you do decide, please come back and tell us what, and why. I'd be interested in your thoughts and decision.

Well tanks to all replays and your objectivity :P

This morning I went to Honda shop and they makes me an especial ofer: 9.325€ and Suzuki's price is 9.600 aprox. I see too the price of the insurance and the spanish trafic taxes are more high in the Suzuki cause is a 1000 bike.

So this and your replays makes me decide for the Honda. I want more an all-road bike and confort for pilot and pasenger are both important to me. I have 32 years old and I don't know how many miles can to sufer my back and soulders.

Excuse my decision cause this a Suzuki sv forum

I hope that I don't be wrong

Thank you again
