I think its as e.d says that its the clocks. I've ridden a bandit and it didnt do it IIRC

Mine never did it... But GSXR forks have their own clonk, which I do get

My SVSK3 does it and I'm convinced it's "Topping out" as you say, which is caused by the lack of rebound damping and the opposite to "Bottoming Out".

If it were the clocks Y should it do it on both the curvy and pointy with different clock setups.
