Not necessarily, it just helps to indicate whether the mileage might be genuine.

yeah mine reads 14500, but i do understand what your saying.

how much would it lower the price if mine had no service history since 4k (i did it my self and i am a qualifed mechanic)

Just going to look and probably buy this bike. The weather is dry but looks sodding cold out!! I'm very excited and I'm sure the adrenaline will probably keep me warm. It's only 70 miles back. Wish me luck!!

I'm now the proud owner of a K5 Black SVS with a scorpion can. Awsome fun riding it the 80 miles home and didnt feel the cold one bit while riding but i'm cold as hell now!!!!

Cheers but man am I dumb, I feel embarrased to post this on here but how do u get the seat off? The key opens the rear seat but what about the main one? Someone help?!

Take the black plastic side panels off with an allen key, then undo the bolts which secure the seat to the bike.

Oh right, so the only accesable bit of storage is under the rear seat? Gotcha. Dont feel quite as dumb now!

If you want quick access to stuff then yep under the pillion seat is the best place for it. You could always keep stuff under the main seat, as long as you dont need access to it in a hurry theres a bit of space under there, I think Northwind uses that space for a spare brake lever and some tools as well
