Let the bike get a bit warm, so the oil drains out handier. Not hot though. Put your hand on the casing to test.

Then I just just reef the filter off with my hand. I didnt need to do any of this screw driver through the old filter stuff so far. Then rock the bike between your legs, and turn it over ONCE with the start, and do some more rocking.

Then just let it drain a bit more.

Then I usually almost fill the new filter with oil. It all gets absorbed into the filtery stuff. Put a little oil on the threads, make sure they are nice and clean, and lash in the filter. Be gentle... do not force it, just keep turning it the wrong way until you feel it clunk in a tiny bit, and then try again in the right direction.
Then stick in the new oil, till you see it in the window, and leave it. Start the bike for a few seconds.

Go off, have a cup of Tea.

Have a look again.

Wonder where the oil has gone.

Getting the bike level, well, I just found that when I was down looking at the oil window, holding the bike up with one hand, i could tell faily acurately I think where center was. It would pull or push my hand if i was off, and the in between state was small.

I am a bloke though. Might not be the best if you are not confident you can hold up the bike squat down on the ground with one hand.

Oh yeah. And lube your chain every week A nice wipe with an oily rag, and then relube. [/i]
