Just been out and the damm council has yet to clear & grit the main roads.

makes me laugh that we have minor snow and salt / grit the roads to hell - when i was in switzerland/italy just last week, there isn't a shred of grit on the road, yet they're all perfectly clear...

I know what you mean.We drove to Andorra from Bracelona to ski last year to ski.No grit just common sense.Didn't see any accidents and they don't have to wait weeks to wash salt away

my god,I thought it was 1976 again If pies are your thing our village (Ripponden)nr Halifax has its own pork pie appreciation society at the bridge inn.As you can guess there's not much to do round here when winter comes,ask the sheep

I though you were now located close to the home of Pukka Pies. Surely one of the best pies in the world. Order them by the case load. I First discovered them at Millmoor about 12 years ago. The only decent taste you'll find in Rotherham.
