Sam, have they got CCTV and alarms in at your branch yet?. My friend used to work there and they didnt back then which i thought was crazy.

Unfortunatly the days of people wanting to grab kit for nowt on ebay only add fuel to the fire when it comes to stolen stock being sold.

I mean how do you know for sure the stuff your buying isnt stolen?.

HG branch in Gants Hill was raided one evening mid-week earlier in the year. Sounds as though exactly the same stuff was pinched (Celtic leathers etc). All the AlpineStar stuff etc was left behind. They arrived in a large van, forced the shop doors opened, filled up and ****ed off. Bang out of order.

By the way, I'm a medium in an airtech...

Well clean ups all done, the shop finally dried out after 4 days!! The only thing we can do is make the shop more secure just in case it happens again, if they've done it once they'll do it again.

Insurance claim is pushing £25 - 30k (including all the extra stuff for clean up etc).

Theft happens all the time there is a market for it, all we can do is try and secure the building as much as possible to give us half a chance of catching the *******s that did it.

In total probably well over £10k stock stolen last night! What really f*cks me off is that my collegues and i had to spend all day clearing everything up, and doing a stock take (2nd one within a month) We're still not sure exactly what has been taken.
