The pointy is lighter too isn't it? May as well get a brand new one for a pound and then around £115 pound a month and get a two years warrenty.

Actually no. Both are 169Kg dry weight. Making a pointy fully fuelled a marginally heavier bike as you get an extra litre in your tank.

And every bike is pointy these days, its just so common. Curvys stand out from the crowd. :P

You are asking a question which will invoke for's and against's , from the respective owners.

the pointy FI model is Different in a few small ways to the Curvy model.

basically try both and see what feels better for you, it's the only way to make the decision, unless of course price has a factor in your calculations

I had a pointy loan bike for about 3 weeks when my curvey was in for repair. I( never noticed the FI being snatchy. It was a K5 SVS.

I would humbly suggest that some times this may down to poor throttle control at low speeds rather than the FI being cr*p.

Personally I would rather have a pointy no messing about with carb icing in the winter or seized up choke cables either

Ive never found mine problematical but a few with pointies have said they dont find it smooth at low speed hence my presumption of the above. I wasnt going to say to those who said they found it snatchy that it was them not the bike.. Im not that daft

When I ride the bike for the first time after a few weeks, I find the throttle snatchy. After a few days riding, I don't find the throttle snatchy. I just flow with the bike. I would take snatchy FI over carb icing every time.

If the lad is buying new then its a pointy. Suzuki are doing cracking deals at the mo and fair play if he has got the dough. I would be very doubtful if there is still a box fresh curvy still about.
