If you get a pointy (2003-present) restricted then it is done with a new ecu. This limits the speed to 100mph electronically, and changes the top end power.
It's still a great ride, and it doen't really affect the torque so you still get all the benefits of a vtwin. However, as someone already said, you'll tend to be redlining it a lot of the time, which keeps your fuel economy down to about 40mpg - the same as an unrestricted thou I paid £350 tpft this year, through Roadsure - that's 21 yo Edinburgh 2ncb I pad £550 tpft last year through bike team |
