Default Swing arm!

Oh No! Sorry mate! I know what it's like,(see AAAHHHGGG!!!!!) Was you adjusting your chain when you did yours? So bloody annoying! Still I have a solution,I'll let you know once I've tried it on mine, and post a picture,so you can see what you think! I think K5/6 owners need to be aware of the disaster potential when loosening of rear axle nut!
Sorry to hear you done yours too!

I did it when I was putting the bike onto my paddock stand. I got the left hand side in fine, but was trying to balance the bike with one hand and slot the other side in. As Thor said, it's easy when you know how and I don't think twice about doing it now, but the first few times, you're very nervous because you think the bike will topple over.

A friend of mine knows someone who works in a paint shop and they will make paints to order, so I'm going to see them and see what they can do.

I guess it's better than dropping it, which everyone does, so I guess you just just have to put it into perspective.

Default Swing arm damage

Hi mate,Thats annoying! my paddock stand has rubber ends, and goes under the arm,but I know what you mean, they are a bit precarious.
Be careful then when/if you do your chain adjustment, because it sounds like it's a common problem, with the slider bracket rotating with the nut, going by the replies I got.
oh well,we live and learn it seems at our own expense.

Just in case you've not fixed it yet; a 1cm section of the black vaccum tubing, with a bit of melting at either end (to make it wider, not seal it) wedged between the 2 cut parts (so long as the cut is clean) and then wrap that bit in duct tape will work indefinately and takes 5 minutes tops to do. How do I know? Idiot boy here rerouted his delivery tubing to make it "tidier" and put it in such a way that lifting the tank pivoted a bit of metal down and cut the delivery tubing.
