Chrome cowl was smashed when we bought it and after months of looking for used one( with no luck) I bought a new cowl and fitted that. The rev counter sort of works. Some times it does some times it dosnt. But the bike runs well other wise. Ticks over fine and pulls well. The problem only occurs following a downward gear change apparently. Just dies completely until the starter is pushed.

Do you blip the throttle on a downshift?

yes. I always blip her before I down shift. Dont like that squeel the back tyre gives if I dont - lol.
