On the curvy for definate it is up inside the bottom of the fork legs, you can only get to it after you have removed the front wheel spindle Sorry I dont even have an SV anymore but I did Patricks forks with Ohlins a couple of weeks ago and up- graded the oil to 15w You can get 15w grade oil from Triumph or BMW
The point I was making about the air gap being that different springs displace different ammounts of fork oil and if you measure what you have drained out and it is as per the workshop manual you may have to use more or less to get the correct airgap If you are fitting adjusters to the fronts allow for the difference in the loading washer on the top approx 5cc |

It isnt a drain, it's the bolt that holds the damping rod in place. If you're replacing the fork oil you should get all the gungy crap out the bottom, and you need to have the fork upside down (and damping rod out too preferably) to do this.

Ah so I was right to remove them. Unless anyone can figure out how to tip the bike upside down.
Mods to date aside from the springs are stage one dynojet and K&N Airfilter and Micron full system. Makes a great noise and now goes round corners better too. |
