Thanks so far guy.

Phily baby, tho i agree with all you say there is a very good reason why i'm also inclined to ignore a lot of it. Cos i hate you.
Not really bud.

We are in a market place where competition is very stiff (fnarr fnarr) and i dont want us to look like our competitors. We sell the bling end of the bathrrom and kitchen market so images are very important to our business. Also because we are designers (we all scrawl really well on napkins anyway) we want our site to have some echoes of "design orientated" looks that start from line drawings to the full image.

Something like these.

and this

Thankful we do have a firm making the site for us as we are all really thick when it comes to that sort of thing.

If you are dealing with nancy designers wairing pink shirts and ties, with nice hair, work away with your flash.

If you are wairing sandals and white socks, talk to me baby.

Something simple to use, that doesnt play a billion and one flash intro's and sound. If it does then can i have a skip intro button please.

I dont want to sit for ages waiting for pages to load if it takes to long to load I dont bother and go to another site.

Something with a simple colour scheme thats easy to read is also helpful.

I really like my banks website www.firstdirect.co.uk

Agree with all that Fizz, i really dislike sites that play music at me without warning or control. There are even a couple of bike websites that do a "vroom" when the page is loaded. Gets on my bloody nerves that does.

First direct have always had good image and marketing in my opinion. If they hadnt ****ed me off so severly about 15yrs ago i'd probly still have my overdraft with them
