Chances are the van belongs to some pikey and is still registered to the owner that had it 3 changes of owner in the pub ago.
If you are lucky and they do trace him just hope he has insurance otherwise you need to start on the MIB claim. Hope the bruises heal, and the bike can be fixed before Mrs Toad finds out.

Can't believe this Simon, apart from being outrageous it's just such bad luck - so sorry mate. Anything I can do (like assist in an organised beating) just let me know
