Yeah I know you did mate....and I know you made a canny whack with all the bits and bobs, thats what has given me the idea.

I reckon I can make a fair bit by selling all the suff

I knew all about the SV when I bought it so difficult to be surprised by it now.

Only the lack of top-end power is the reason I would change it. I need 100bhp
Something comfy would be nice too.

Have a mate with a bandit 600 and my bro has an R1 so might try the bandit for a day.
I would leave the Hamicad and leds as well as can on and sell the lowers, cowl, R7G's and screen on e bay if i decide to sell....keeping 2 bikes is not an option for me

Wouldn't think the Bandit 6 will light your fire. Another 50kgs and only 10bhp more. Plus the handling ain't as sharp IMO. Now the R1.

I think I understand what you are saying, if I recall correctly we bought the same bike at the same time but I am not looking to step up.

Firstly because I still have so much to learn (you may learn faster than I). Secondly I think anyone can sit on a bigger bike and go faster on a straight.
Thirdly I think I would kill myself on a bigger bike right now.

I was on a VERY private road on the weekend, my speedo read 131 and my fathers VFR passed me like I was standing still and I have seen my mates fireblade pull away when I was at full acceleration. Even though they are both more experienced riders you can't help thinking I want to go faster!

Buy a VFR and then watch a Busa pass you, I hope you don't get the same feeling :P

I for one still love the SV.

I've had bigger and faster bikes. Much as I like going fast I just couldn't justify the costs for a bike that I only used for half the year.
I'll keep my Sv until that day, until that day.

A Bandit 600?

It would be comfy for sure, a better tourer...but it is slow compared to a SV.

A downgrade, not an upgrade.
