But also a bit of a fake- isn't it air-cooled? Muscle bikes don't have radiators.

Yes it is, needs it to keep the powerful motor cool. All the air-cooled ones don't get hot enough to need it.

why don't they make a Euro 3 one?

it should surely be easier on a higher capacity motor to get the emissions down while still keeping a massive torque spread

I have one, and I'd recommend it. Got it mainly for it's pillion carrying ability and comfort, but it's also great fun for solo blasts.

good points - comfortable, fast, huge torque makes gears almost redundant, looks good, add a pillion and it makes no difference, plenty fast enough.
bad points - had to replace the rear shocks as there is a fault with them suzuki don't seem able to fix.

It handles pretty well, I'm as quick on it as I was on my sv (possibly quicker, even in the twisties), but it's a different riding style - you need to grab it by the bars and wrestle it! The weight is only really an issue when you have to push it up a slight slope after a parking error ( ), once moving the weight just dissapears.

Not my type of bike but I'd have a look at the CB1300 before buying the GSX.

Dunno. Just what I read in the press. I think there may be noise issues as well though, even with a cork up them GSXs are pretty noisy.

Yup, watercooled is the only (in most cases) way to meet the tight noise regs.

And if you get tired whilst out on the bike, just lift the seat up, climb inside pull the quilt that you had stored in there over you, and have a nice comfy sleep. The storage space is cavernous.
