If it's a main Honda Dealership - it should go something like this:
Get VIN number (usually from Registration) look up parts on the EPC get part number order part via HondaCom if part in stock in UK and ordered before 4pm it will arrive the following day if part in stock in Europe and ardered before 1pm it will be in the following day if part not in stock and backordered then you should be able to get an estimated dispatch from Honda date (though sometimes this can take 14 days just to get a date from Honda UK) fit part. Something like suspention links, wishbone etc, espcially on a car still under warrenty should be in stock in Europe, if not in UK. Even if the delivery is screwed up it still shouldn't take more that a couple of days. Either way you should be phoned the same day if there are any problems. Well, at least that's how it would go in the Honda Dealership in Northampton that I work(ed) in the Parts Deparment for! I say worked, I still work there technically, but am signed off at the moment due to having only one and a half legs. ![]() Oh yeah, and if HondaCom is down they should have a backup EPC on disc and orders can be placed by fax. |
