MkIV 2 litre Ford Cortina...was a bag of ****e...but it was my bag of ****e
Rear wheel drive...went everywhere sideways if possible.

It didn't like the wet tho
Coulda got in with a full bladder and it would've sensed moisture and refuse too start

my firct car was a 998cc mini, which my dad and me re built and resprayed metalic british racing green. reg - BCL 700Y.

it was ace. God knows how i fitted in it, im 6' 2"

Mine was a white 998cc Metro HLE (whatever that meant).

And the really embarrassing thing was, I stuck one of those back window stickers you get from Halfords that read METRO.

IIRC, it had a 4-speed overdrive gearbox, i.e. max speed was reached in 3rd gear and 4th was for "cruising"........

4th was for "cruising"........

That explains why, when I changed down from 4th to 3rd it had no guts and the fact it was a metro.
