I really do not see what all the fuss is about
No need for it, its just fun

Just learning how to do it has made me concentrate very hard on cornering and has helped me feel more relaxed on the bike

Theres no need to do anything. Theres no need to get that tinted screen, no need to get an aftermarket can, no need to get dinky indicators, no need to go out on a friday afternoon and do 100 miles just for the fun of it, theres no need to put a GSXR front end on it and theres no need to get your knee down.

But we do it, we do it becuase we want to have fun, we want to enjoy what we have, we do it because we have passion, because we love our bikes and most importantly we do it because WE CAN!!!!

Yeah, I think I went a bit over-dramatic there, apologies!

I dont have a ridiculous view that it makes me a faster rider or anything, I dont do it when Im riding quick. I just do it when Im knocking about for a bit of a laugh. Or when Im on a well kown roundabout and nodding at the open mouthed car drivers waiting to join the traffic. Its just for a laugh. As for scraping pegs, I had a hornet for a while and that would scrape pegs and boots for free. I had to replace the hero blobs before I sent it back to the hire company!

Fast is not the word. You were too damn quick for:-

Jelster's Fireblade
Scoobs' CBR RR
Fizz's GSXR750
My SV1000s
All the SV650s

Only Taran got anywhere near you, but he is a bit 'special' on his speed triple.

Fast is a fricken understatement

I'd like to be able to do it. Purely for no other reason to say that I can. I think I've worked out what I'm doing wrong now. So its just a matter of practice practice practice.

Read a good trick in Ride - swap the knee sliders over and go around again. Then it looks like you get both done... badges of honour they referred to them as . They also made an interesting point about the road racers at the TT hardly ever getting their knees down when going fast as it just slows you down. Thats my excuse anyway - and besides i wear my badges on the inside.

Yeah, but doesn't that mean it'd look like you did the left knee while travelling backwards...

Actually, maybe that's more impressive...
