One thing to be aware of with the Renes is that they reuse the stock pipework- they're effectively a big slipon. Now, that's not a problem, none of the full system twins are optimised like a proper race system would be anyway, but it's worth bearing in mine when comparing prices.

Then again, IMO the Renes sound better than any of the alternatives I've heard for the pointy (Laser I don't like much, Mivv's OK but undistinguished, Renes are lovely) and you get backup that's absolutely second to none from Renegade- but it's hard to see them as competitively priced I think.

There's a lot of conflicting claims about power, I've seen Rene dyno charts with no benefits whatsoever and no need for a rejet, and I've seen one guy with charts "proving" he gained 10bhp. But I give Viney more credibility than most of those. Still, logically they're going to be roughly as good as any other good slip-on. The twin cans are obviously less restrictive, but the headers are the same- and they're definately restrictive on the SV. And again, as Viney correctly points out peak power's irrelevant, midrange is more important and the Renes do help there, I'm 100% sure of that.

In the end... Don't worry about power. If you want power, buy an Arrow full system. Or in fact, don't, buy a GSXR Twins are for bling and bling only, so don't get distracted from your goal I miss my twins but they had to go- and they sold for enough profit to pay for both of my race systems

hello did i hear my name

you can find more pics and a dyno with this link

http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=36641

renegades worked on my bike had good power increases in the midrange i think if i remember correctly peak increase was about 6000rpm i had an 8-9hp increase which is over 10% more than standard, and the sound is awesome, im sure if you turned up jorge would do you a good deal

but i have to admit there is a better sounding bike than my SV with twin renegades and that is

my falco with twin renegades

Hmm I never liked the SV with high level cans. Look a bit daft I think. If it had a huge back wheel it might look okay but that 160 looks skinny. The 1000 looks nice though with the pipes in the normal position (in my opinion o course :P )

makes sense that, that's where the stock dip is Did you have to rejet for it?

yes i had the airkit fitted , replaced the air box with carbon fibre plate throttle bodie trumpets and air filter socks. the fuel injection if it needed to adjusted itself , no remapping or anything

so i had twin semi full system (using original front header pipe) and renegade airkit and the dyno graph shows my bike compared to a standard SV and an SV with a single slip on

anything else?

No it didn't 650 FI doesn't have a lambda sensor...

Still, that's a nice boost in the mids- gets rid of the dip, and adds another 5bhp or so on top. Lovely. The peak boost is about what you'd expect for a slipon and filter.
