A few with the TRI oval have them sticking out a bit. I never got mine quite right. Also the strap was crap and had to be replaced and rubbed of the clour on my trioval because I could never get it tight.

Life time warranties are fine as long as your happy to keep sending things back. Personally I find that a PIA as Fizz says.

I liked mine, it was reverse coloured, and it sounded great

Mine is coloured at the back, not front, and is the only one I've seen that way.

If this is what you mean - does it make a difference, other than looks?

Most go silver pipe, colour, then silver.

Friend of mine had a BlueFlame can on his K4, we couldn't stop it from sticking out to one side.

Called Blue Flame and told them about the problem. Get the response "Ahh, I think we've sent you the wrong hanger, we'll send a new one", result.

A couple of days later an identical hanger turned up.

Still it sounded great.

Looked odd.

Most K4's (and later) I've seen with Blue Flame exhausts have had them sticking out.

The can on my curvey stuck out quite a bit. It took me about an hour of fiddling to get it to fit how I wanted it to.

I have got a high level oval. It has only been on for a few weeks but seems well made, sounds good and fits well. BF were also helpful and did a good deal as i bought it at the moto GP

Yeah tis me on BCF. - im flattered that someone noticed!

Just cut 5cm away from the original exhaust on the link pipe. then attatch link pipe and end can. Wiggle till it fits right, then thats it. Mine sticks out a VERY small amount. Barely noticable unless you look.

The shiny bit on the bottom i believe to be a sort of heat sheild, came with the bike....believe it is standard.

As for why some people say they stick out i have 2 theories....
Theory 1: They cut the pipework in the wrong place
Theory 2: The link pipe was designed for a K3 bike. This may not be updated for later models as they look the same, but i believe there were some small changes to the rear subframe.....i think it is lower or sumit. So the can may stick out cos the link pipe is not correct (though they think it is).

I really like the look of the blue flame, either stainless or carbon (to go with black frame)

Think its top of my list of what can i want but still cant afford to get one.

Don't go for carbon. I've heard it's prone to breaking from the V-Twin pulses. plus it's Blue Flame. Go for the stainless.

Not exactly a brilliant testament (?) to the build quality but I've had 3 blueflames on mine now.

First one split on the inlet pipe but was the 'original' blueflame pipe not the Evo series. i sent that back and got a brand new Evo one in the post.

After about 6 months use that one has split in the same place

Emailed Blueflame (Rod Geskell directly) and explained along with pictures.

Yesterday i got ( without sending old one in ):

New Link pipe
New Can WITH baffles
New Hanger
New can strap
all nuts & bolts to go with.

Turns out the first 2 split because i didn't take enough off the headers and it was the wrong link pipe ( too long ) so the can hung way too far out the back of the bike and wasn't supported properly.
