Giving your passenger a brief run down of do's and don'ts I feel is most beneficial. I also find that if the pillion places there hands in front of you on the tank it can help them a great deal under braking.

I have to say that my son is an absolutely ace pillion passenger!

Do a google search for Crescent Suzuki. They are still doing their "Shark Attack" promotion, i.e. 50% off. I got a Shark S500 for less that £50

Good range of designs, too.

Cheers for the encouragesment and advice. Crescent is only about 30mins away from me so I may go and have a look. What are the shark helmets like? I dont want to get a cheap helmet and not have to crash protection of a more expensive one!

I didnt adjust the preload, whay kind of settings do you have it on? Joint weight would be about 22 stone!

Shark helmets are pretty good I think. Personally I think a £50 quid lid that fits you properly is better than a £500 Arai that doesnt.

Shark is a top brand, no worries there. Loads of peeps on here use 'em

The S500 is "ACU Gold" stickered.

Can't help you myself, but at that weight you certainly will have to up the preload if you're taking a pillion for any distance.

The man is absolutely right, except for the fact that I'm talking about a £100 lid that's half price

Hmm, are they not budget lids though? My missus now also wants a lid and was a little concerned that it would not be as safe as say a £200 lid. I kinda like my missus see.
