Nah, all i do is run it on the choke 1/2 open for bout 30secs-1 min depending on whenevr the bike has settled at tickover (around 1400rpm). Whilst the bike is warming up, I get me helemt n gloves on. It was only yesterday that it took me bout 5mins to sort me workboots out in me bag then set off. I'll win at the end of the day .

Falcs neighbours complained about the bike at 4pm apparently it was scaring his kid but another neighbour about 10 houses down complained about the bike ticking over at 5am when Falc was going to work. his next door neighbours have never complained about the bike at all

Unless it is really early (like 4am or something) then they can get lost. Bike needs to be warmed up first to avoid damaging the engine over a long period of time. Don't like it? Move house ya swines! :P

My advice when asked is "always warm your bike up on the road".

The road isn't classed as "premises" so the local Environmental Health Dept can't touch you under Section 79 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990; this is the law relating to statutory nuisances, like loud music, barking dogs, etc.

When on the highway it becomes a police matter; I doubt that they would visit you over this as they have better things to do (yes, really they do!!) and you'd be gone before they arrived anyway

Hope this helps you and others.

You won't get an ASBO for that - sorry to disappoint you

It's either a road-traffic offence or it isn't

I have the confines of a sub terranean shared garage to warm my bike up which is great! But even then after a couple of seconds on say half choke I ease it right down so the motor ticks over at about 1500rpm.

That neighbour of yours is for sure a PITA. But be careful, she knows enough that you have the baffle out...she could make problems.
