Mine is exactly the same noise level with or without baffle

But you don't even like your neighbours - so why worry...

i say the baffle's never been in (i lie) i used to put it in the can in the mornings and get round the corner and then pull it out but i got fed up of burning my hands on it.

I say screw 'em. Diesel vans are pretty loud and some of them leave around here at about 5am. Wake me up everytime but it doesn't bother me, just part of living close to other people.

yea my neighbour has got a diesel citron belingo thingy and thats bloody loud at 4am.

If I have to leave very early I push the bike into the road, and only when I'm facing the way I need to go do I start it, then I ride off, gently, immediately.

Baffle in.

You won't miss a few bhp on the commute and you stand less chance of being pulled and made late to work or late home.

A loud bike won't make car drivers anymore aware of you. A train is louder than a bike but rail workers get killed because they don't hear them coming.
