I had a small square plate on my SV, never had a problem as the lettering was clear. I then bought my GSXR (from my mate) and it has a single line plate and the letters were blocked - first commute to London and I got pulled. They let me off as I'd only had it 2 days but I had to get it changed. I know have a big one!

I saw a bike the other day with the smallest plate ever. The lettering only looked about 1.5in high and was unreadable from anything more than a few yards away. That's just asking to be pulled.

If the ANPR cameras cant read it, they will pull you over..... and as they are getting more popular with the Police these days.... the chances of getting away with teh tincy ones are getting slim... my bike came with a 7 x 3 which got changed straight away! Though Im a good boy and stick to the rules..

yes officer.... I swear the baffle was in when I left the house this morning!
