Lots of people talking about needing this, needing that. Applying a little nonconductive silicon grease (the thin sort, not the spray stuff) is a better fix than most of the alternatives, isn't visible, and costs about £3 from Maplins for a tube of grease that'll last longer than the bike...

I ride in all weathers and I have a fender extender but tbh honest in the two years prior to me fitting it I had no problems. I only bought the thing bacause after really heavy rain my bike stopped working and I thought it might be due to that but it wasn't it was the clutch switch that was the problem.
