Judging by the way some people bahave in our society nowdays i'd say you did the right thing as you're still here to tell us about it and werent attacked/stabbed/shot.

Like i say, in future takes the pics before you leave the bike, that way if you come back and find the same scene again you can happily walk by and not get involved knowing you have all the info you need to give to the cops/insurance.

About 18 months ago I turned right into a junction and ended up behind a stationary car that was sitting behind another stationary car. As Im stood still behind what I know to be an ugly pregnant woman, her reversing lights come on and she flattens me and the CBR. Bear in mind Ive been behind her for a good 15 seconds, on a 600cc bike, with a race can and a headlight.

Im raging, but when I spot she's very pregnant and very upset I change from angry biker to concerned nice guy. She admitted everything was her fault, she didnt see me , Her husband is called and I try to calm her down. I offered to get her a drink etc etc. Husband says not to worry about it all, its clear cut she ran me over etc etc and as the woman is complaining of stomach pains I just wanted her to get checked out ASAP.

Well, how naieve was I? 18 months later and the story has changed somewhat. Now I ran into the back of her when she was stationary (causing her to hurt her stomach). I then proceeded to rant and rave at her in a 'threatening manner' (good job she wasnt too scared to offer me the use of her phone) and had to be 'removed from the area'. This is according to the 'witness' that got the time of the accident wrong on his testimony. The insurance companies are locked in battle and Ive had a fair bit of mud slung in my direction, not to mention a smashed bike, injured wrist/back and my no claims taken off me.

Next time Im going to lie on the floor and scream. How I could have been so stupid as to show concern for a pregnant 'lady' I have no idea. The last thing I expected was to get shafted. Needless to say Ive been done on all fronts and feel raped by the whole situation.

If you have your lid in your hand, take out the biggest one right under the chin.

you probably know this....but *if* the claim finally gets closed as non fault. call all the companies you've been with in that time and get the refund back. they will need to see the proof of bonus and that its non fault. but they have to give it back. make sure they dont short change you aswell.

Hope you got their plate pete. if you didnt. i doubt anything will happen. On a positive note. if they do get em they will be screwed over. the police take a dim view of these scallies wasting their time. when someone drove off after hitting my brothers bike over, they got points and a fine for the privilige.
