Right deep breath;;; I bought the B12 rear wheel after a few discussions with Northwind and 21QUEST I was going to get bearings for the wheel to fit the SV spindle and Northwind was looking into getting some spacers made up!!! After a few weeks of contemplating where to to the mod or not 21QUEST contacted me and asked if I wanted his spacer kit from his GSXR1100 wheel. We did some measuring and the two wheels are the same apart from the different spokes and the 1100 wheel is a lot heavier. So the spacer kit consists of a new sprocket carrier spacer and a captive spacer on the calliper side also a modified calliper hanger. The kit uses the original B12 bearings and SV spindle.
Also a 525 rear sprocket for the B12 wheel.
You get about 5-10mm clearance from the chain and 5-10mm clearance from the swing arm on the other side.
If I hadn't got the spacers off 21QUEST I don't think I would have bothered!!!!!

Am considering the cbr rear wheel mod when I can get a bike together. $50 for spacer kit and the rear wheels themselves seem quite cheap. Why out of interest did you go for a bandit wheel? The cbr wheel is 180 section too isn't it?
Here's a pic of the whole bike from the rear for you

Fact Looks ace, Billy. Prepare yourself for a lot of people telling you you've ruined the handling though

If anything the handling has got better and the stearing has quickened due to the shorter forks. All it needs now is a decent rear shock and jobs done.

Hay, first the bike it looking great!
did you have to do any mods to the swingarm to fit the B12 wheel in? i always thought that you had to do some major modding to the swingarm or even try and get a B12 swingarm in to get the when to fit?!?
what sort of time scale did this take you to do everything in? i am really interested in doing the same, but at the mo the bike is the only transport i have!!! so not sure whether to wait till i have the money to get a car back on the road?!?

Cheers

Nah, it fits right in. Same deal as the GSXR1100 wheels. Might be just a tad off centre though, that's one of the things that's held me up, but otherwise... Well, brake discs are the exact same, which is nice, and it's actually lighter than an SV wheel! Far lighter than a CBR wheel too, as well as being a cosmetic match.
