Good news and bad news.

Good news - Got a fantastic set of hand prints all over the bike very fresh and not mine!

they just phoned back (a lot sooner than expected) asking if I would be able to identify the people in question which makes me think the prints may be good.....

sadly I can't and from the conversation I have a funny feeling that even if the prints match someone they know they won't be able to go anywhere with it which sucks.....

Such a good idea - yet so simple! Have you done this and is it as easy as it sounds?

Why not? What kind of plausible excuse could they give for handling your bike? Short of being mechanics at your local garage.

Well they could say they saw it and had a look/touch but weren't the culprits.

True the evidence is pretty heavy against but the law in our country doesn't work on probability which is annoying but I suppose the alternatives aren't great either.

I'm hoping that the circumstantial will be enough to sway it.

A week ago 2 guys were giving the bike a REAL good going over, not just a hey thats a nice bike go over but a lets poke and look around every nook and cranny, walk away, look shifty, walk back have another look kind of look.

They then returned about an hour later (watching from my bedroom window whilst playing games on the pc as I can see the bike from there) in a car with a third friend who also gave it a going over.

At this point I had enough and went down and moved the bike out of sight down our alley and chained it up.

Another hour or so later the car returns only this time one of them is in distincive purple and white motorbike leathers and looks very confused without a bike, hops out, looks around, and gets back in the car......not suspicious AT ALL.....

They tore off but me and my cousin got a good look at the car and guy in leathers.
Started parking down the alley more regularly but last night it was blocked as my cousin was round and had parked there and I decided to just park outside...

Annnnyway long story short we described all this to the police and if we are lucky the prints match someone of the same description with a record and who just happens to own a pair of purple and white motorcycle leathers....

entering the realms of dreaming they will also find the face plate from my bike they decided to take with them, maybe they decide to keep it as a trophy and thats the final bit in their conviction.....*Dreams*..

....then he admits its a fair cop...goes to light up a cigerette...forgets he has a pistol shaped lighter and gets mowed down by the SO19 squad then were passing by........
