I wanted to do mine over 4 days but they said they find it has better results split up. Cause I work abnormal weeks my lessons have bigger breaks in between so it's taking me even longer. Oh well patience is a virtue ... or so they say.

Best go and see if I can kill some cones

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh (no kittens here Dr Rich !)

So you're having 4, 3 hour lessons? That should be all you need tbh.

Good luck with it.

If I'd not already bought the Virago I'd have just walked away, glad I didn't though.

I can't talk though, I did my CBT on a cold, snowy(a few flakes floated down) February morning, I blame that and not my ineptness at slow speed carpark skills that forced me to do another day.

Well I am back In one piece .... here is how it went ... and no laughing PLEASE !

I think the instructor thought I had ridden recently (CBT was 4 July) and I got on the bike and was OK til he jumped out in front of me on the car park after 5 mins and said stop ! Ahhhh bang, on me side I used my front brake (well he will make me jump).

It was OK, just need a bit more clutch control around those corners and have more faith in the bike. (At least I remember to turn the indicators off unlike me CBT) I don't know why I don't like cornering, I just gotta get over the sight of my SV on the floor the other week after dropping it.

Ahhh when I say OK I dropped one major bo**ox, went round a tight left hand corner, I held the clutch in and went too far out, saw a car coming towards me and then braked, cause I stared at this 4x4 heading my way I went for him as I was looking that way, good job he wasn't speeding else I would be road kill hee hee. Funny tho was fine after that but alas end of lesson and back to base for a cuppa.

Since I dropped my bike my confidence has been low and I can tell as when I did things wrong instead of putting it behind me I pondered.

I have a big gap until my next lesson but they have said pop in between and have a go around the car park to keep confidence up.

Time for a beer and a shower now .... not together tho.

Hey Shelly. I dropped the bike I was using ony myDAS at a busy crossroads & that knocked the wind out of me. U-turns were a nightmare later on & the ride home on the A40 was horrendous. Had a chat with one of my biker friends later that night & that put me in a better frame of mind. Even had a bottle of champagne to celebrate the good points of that day i.e. riding busy London roads, a nice turn here, a good manuoevre there.

Basically, don't dwell on the negs. Get your ball n'chain to pamper you tonight & Get back on the bike sooner rather than later.

...and if your ball n'chain ain't there to pamper you tonight I finish at 5.30 ;o)
