So, what was wrong exactly with the old engine and what are you going to do with it?

Re: the fuel can and the mot. If the baffle was in, then it would be below the maximum db allowed surely (otherwise the e stamp on the can would mean nothing and they could probably get done for it). Bet it was just the garage being arsey

yes i do stil have the old link pipe.

i am not sure what is wrong with the engine yet, i will strip it down when i have the time on a rainy weekend (i think its the big end thats gone)

and baffle was in... no e mark on the exhaust.... but did have BS xxxx stamp on it... its definatly louder than standard with the baffle in

what did you want the restrictor for anyway??
