I made a clutch convertion to hydraulic clutch from TL1000 -> read there

Changing the lever or lever and mount does only one thing - it makes your wallet lighter.
If the lever is too far from the bar for you, or indeed in this circumstance Annie, slacken the cable adjuster a bit, thus leaving the lever a dab closer to the 'bar, which is exactly the same as an adjustable lever does, on each closer setting it pulls the cable a little less overall. As long as the clutch separates sufficiently and doesn't drag, the adjustment is OK. In practice, all else being in good condition, you can back the adjustment off to suit even the littlest hands without problems.
