Not in Wales, but this http://www.lundyisland.co.uk/ may well be up your street. Very quiet, isolated, good walks, etc. it's like stepping back in time 60 years.

When I was (a lot) younger my mum & dad used to take us to a place called either West Tarr or East Tarr farm, it's near Tenby, just outside a little village called St Florence.
The farm was a riding stables that had 3 or 4 holiday cottages as well, IIRC they allowed pets too. A few pubs in the village itself or, if you fancy something a bit more lively, Tenby is only about a 10 min drive / taxi ride. Might be worth a look if it's still a going concern... |

Book in Pembrokeshire with these people:
http://www.stbridesbaycottages.co.uk/ much better than coastal cottages, had a few disasters with them. We've just come back from Dan y Graig, so fantastic and tranquil that we've booked again for next summer. |
