I took Mrs Cuffy to watch the Departed two weeks ago and considering she doesn't "do" films she loved it, fantastic film, Jack Nicholson is worth the entrance fee alone.....Brilliant.
Only downside is the dodgy American/Irish accent from Matt Damon.

Never was a fan of Leonardo wotsits face...but this film changed my whole perception of him.
5* from me

Cuffy, that's a Boston accent, Matt Damon is from Boston. That's how he talks all the time

Departed is an ace flick, an American re-make of Infernal Affairs.

Go see it!

Quite bloody, I "saw" it on Saturday. Not exactly scary as in make you jump or feel the need to "fight or flight". More a test of how much you can stand to watch before turning away.

Will be seeing the departed asap. Supposed to be excellent.

Why would you see Saw III if you know you are weak-stomached and don't like gore? Its not like its a surprise after Saw I and II!

We went to see The Departed yesterday afternoon and thought it was superb. It's quite a long film at almost 3 hours but the plot is so riviting the time just flies by. Some brilliant performances and as usual Jack Nicholson steals every scene but for my money the Best Supporting Actor Award has to go to Leonardo Di Caprio.

Ditto with cuffy's comment, btw.
