I'd leave it at least 6 months. Lots of horror stories on all the forums I visit, crashing, can't restore, web pages loading badly or not at all on some banking and secure sites. Step away from the download.

I hear so many people having trouble with ie7... Think it would be best to stick to firefox or opera.

No trouble at all here. Works really well and has for some time.
A few crashes in beta, but that comes with the territory. |

I've had a few little niggles with pages not loading properly. But apart from that its been fine.
I've gone back to IE6 though I had some problems with my PC being infected with spyware and I downgraded in order to try and get rid of it. When I get a minute I'll re-install IE7. Best practice with any piece of Microsoft software is to make sure you regularly get updates from Microsoft...
