Fair doos! I'm going to stick the bike in the hallway tomorrow evening and assault the tensioners. After a bit of reading it seems as though that's the first thing to check, followed by the chain. After reading the link posted by John, it might be a bit fiddly getting the tensioner back in, so make sure you lot are around tomorrow night......might be a long one

Get a set of round-headed allen keys, makes it all much easier

Also, consider amputating one of your pinkies, you probably don't use them much anyway and they get in the way.
