Been there my friend. Had a guy ram a Mondeo Estate right next to me as he came flying up the inside lane, but misjudged his braking and rather than slowing down and moving accross lanes, jsut slowed down a bit, went to change lanes, messed up, rammed the car, bike flipped over and everything. About 2 meters to my left.... Luckily he was ok.

I saw that accident this morning (not the actual crash). This was at about 8.40am. Traffic went all the way back to Dartford.

Bike was still in the same place, chalk markings on the road. Possible fatal? (any police know proceedures?).

The worrying thing was, it looked to me like a bike I see sometimes ridden by a women with blonde hair. If its her I hope shes ok

It makes you think though, that could be me, 1 tiny mis-judgement, or even if your riding well, be VERY warey of what everyone else is doing. Just re-asses your speed.

It does my nut in when a car indicates to cross lanes and a bike flys past them like a moving chicane... FFS, the car driver is letting you know they are changing lanes, at least have the decency to slow down and let them move. Many bikes get clipped at the back of the bike as they go past due to this as the car driver simply isn't expecting it.

Many of the commuters ride badly. TBH, i understand why some people get so wound up about them.

I ride quickly, but i ride with other people/drivers in mind. If I can't slow down enough for every single car (in case they just "swap" lanes) then im going to fast....

Just remember, don't do what everyone else does, do what you know and what you thinks safe. Save the mad riding for the track

I pray that this isn't as serious as it sounds.

Another dangerous manoover to avoid. Don't overtake at a junction. You never know, another vehicle might be turning left out of a junction on the right. Car drivers invariably look right only and don't expect a bike on the wrong side of the road.

This is common when riding a bike, as you often get to the front of the "queue" and actually see what the problem is, you don't often experience this is in a car. I think the getting away quick bit is for exactly the reasons Soulkiss and others describe. Sort of 'anti rubber necking' ...thats my take anyway.

Hope the rider is ok

I been without a bike for over year now because I was taken out by a car door on the A2. Be carefull out there folks.
