i have just stopped drinking until Christmas as it hit home just how much i had been consuming when all the bin bags were very heavy and go clunk...

more ashamedly the wine we drink mostly comes in boxes.

You're a student but only get drunk twice a week? What are students coming to these days? When I was a student there were drunk nights at least 5 nights a week!

Where's the 1 or 2 times a year option?

Hardly ever get drunk these days...... maybe the office party at Christmas. Perhaps.

I prefer to be sober and without a hangover when riding my bike in the mornings........ bike or booze? Bike wins.

getting drunk less and less. the older i get the less i'm enjoying the "morning after" feeling, i hate waking on a saturday or sunday morning when i've got things planned and feel like guff.

I don't drink much anymore, either. When I left uni I easily lost a stone within the first month. I now drink occasionally, like a couple a week and maybe drink while out twice a month, but I generally don't bother.
Hangovers leave me absolutely wrecked and I don't particularly enjoy being drunk anymore, anyway.

I had to stop entirely for a few months because of my painkillers etc... Plus being drunk when you're leg's not firmly attached would be a little foolhardy I think Never really got back into the habit... Not that I don't drink, but my capacity's shrunk and I don't just automatically order a pint if I'm only out for a while. But then, I never drank just to get drunk, even when I used to drink a lot more.

Being nicely drunk's great, though. It's not a very effective drug, but it's accessible, legal and socially acceptable... A good social lubricant. I always found whisky gives me a nice mellow drunk.

Never bought the whole removing inhibitions thing though... By the time I'm drunk enough not to feel selfconscious about things, I'm too drunk to speak coherently

I didn't vote because the option for once, maybe twice a year isn't there. The last time I was drunk is very well documented in the essex lounge and ecosse posse
I cant stand the hangover the next day and it usually only clears about 2 or 3 days after the event
