How damn cool will that be.

I have seen Gina Campbell race powerboats, and she does not hang about!
Can you imagine that will be the most amazing day

It's often the sad state of affairs that many museums have more exhibits that they have display space - though you would have thought an institution like the Science Museum would have considered it.

In a way though I'm glad they didn't as the end result is that it will return 'home' so to speak.

Exactly its going home so the end result is great - but what a farce

Falc and I were at Coniston in the summer and we talking about how it must've felt to be part of that day

Good to see they were able to get funding, even if the HLF were unwilling to cough up (gives the "bird" to them)

If it is at all possible I will be there to see this wonderful piece of history return to Coniston

Has she just guaranteed the Ruskin Museum a few more donations? Quotes like this are great for PR - living up to them is hard, but if they can pull it off then it sorts out the attendance figures for day one!!

There was an item on the local news thats the lottery fund in to part fund a £75,000 Art installation at Ely, a video of water!! What a waste!

Why is it that normal people don't get to choose where Lottery money is spent? If it was up to normal people then Bluebird would have been rebuilt with lottery funding and back on the lake by now.

What is wrong with this country when people would rather celebrate some 5th rate celebrity than celebrate Britain's great boundary pushing hero's like Malcolm and Donald Campbell, Richard Noble, Sir Frank Whittle and the like?

Its the Blair and New labour way you can erect statues to Nelson Mandella, Jade Goody etc but you cant celebrate the greatness of this country's past there's too much for the Bleeding heart Liberals to feel ashamed of. They cant look to the future they'd rather apologise for the past.
