I have a suspicion that it's to do with the 'E' marking etc! You can put inserts inot the visor - on the inside ,and it doesn't affect how the outside face behaves - it meets all the requirements of the legal side of things!
I think it may be to do with actually putting something on the outside face of the visor that renders the 'E' mark obsolete......if that makes sense?
