I was already to get the bike this morning, but Jax insisted that I take the car. So I was 15 minutes late for work...

Even Liz took the car to work this morning, which for her is pretty unusual. I rode to work though but my commute is only a couple of miles and its all at low speed.

keithd, I appreciate the concern. But the car is far slower, even when I've backed off the speed on the bike. NSL's the fastest I'll ride in this weather is around 55mph.

Yea, the wind blows you around, but if you think about what you're doing, and take your cue from the trees/bushes etc, it's fine. Using your weight into the wind helps too.

Several trees down around here. I wish the ones up against my fence would blow down. And the river looks like it's going to flood again with all this Welsh rain

Rivers around here are looking "nice & healthy." Lucky for me I'm 32m above sea level, on a hill, about 3 miles from the sea

Dude! Your crazy!

Stay safe, and that goes for everyone else at all.

If i have to ride in this weather, I take breaks regularly. Its hard work fighting the wind.
