I made it in OK. Getting to the A38 was entertaining but alright, the fresh snow seemed to have quite a bit of grip. The A38 was just slush, only a problem when filtering. The worst bit was onsite as the entrance to the carpark is uphill off camber.

I had a bit of a moment and had to put my foot down but saved it.

Now it has rained and it has all gone. hurray! Wasn't looking forward to getting back out the carpark again.

Let's hope it doesn't freeze tonight!

Ride safe!

Werent too many bikes on the road this am....my trip was ok until i got it here, then the familiar story, the work car park looks lethal...thought they might have gritted it as there is a big courier company based here...looked like they were having a union meeting in the corner... prob just gossiping, not a great day to be a courier

Yeah right- me too. Still- the train was 10 mins less late than with just 1 inch of snow last month. Go figure...

I'll normally ride in frost and snow, but tbh I was glad I didn't have to today. It was very difficult driving getting my car up the hill and am absolutely certain I'd of chucked it down the road had I tried it on the bike.

Yesterday the frost (coupled with fatigue) saved me from a nasty prang on a roundabout. It's not a roundabout you can straightline at 60 at the best of times, but in fairly heavy morning traffic and with ice on it, 10-15mph was plenty fast enough. Some woman pulled out in front of me and had I been going 10mph faster as I normally would have, I'd of been over her bonnet. As it was, I managed to jink around her (while holding the horn down). I was pleasently suprised to see her reaction in my mirrors. Far from the usual beeping of horns/flashing of lights and hand gestures cagers normally use to let me know that they're annoyed they didn't manage to kill me this time, this woman looked genuinely shocked, covered her mouth and slowed her car to nearly stopping. I might be imagining it, but it even looked like she was crying. That's a bit more like it: perhaps she won't do it again.

Well- got home to find that the cover was blown off the bike last night (idiot- didn't look this morning) and my bro (who lives next door, beside which she's parked), says she was covered in snow.

Poor little bugger- I think she was actually shivering , so I'm off out there with a mug of hot milk and a blanket- there there, daddy will make it all better.

Took the train today - similar thouights to Baph.

Last time it was a complete surprise to me so took the bike anyway and was fine. This time it was so well publicised that it would really have been humiliating to drop it.

I was ok to work, its only about 200m to the main road then fronm there its mostly ok to work., my usaly 25min journey took nearly 40mins because of traffic and taking it easy. Unfortunatly i had no choice today as things went wrong at work .
